Hello everyone! I hope you all had a joyful summer holiday and are ready for the new school year ahead. With us being at a brand-new campus, I think all of you are as excited as I am for this year that lies ahead. As you all know I am from South Africa, however, I have been living in Hong Kong for exactly eight years and four months. I love Hong Kong’s culture, the food, and the mesmerizing designs of all the skyscrapers.
I previously worked as a teacher in South Africa, England, and in other schools in Hong Kong where I gained valuable experience in Kindergarten, Primary, and Secondary school. I have a great passion for teaching and enjoy working with children and trying to see and understand the world through their eyes while helping them reach their goals and ambitions.
It is my fourth year at North Point Methodist Primary school, and it is a real privilege to be here. I will be teaching P1, P2 and P5. I will also coach rugby as an extracurricular activity, which I have a great passion for, been a semi-professional rugby player. Furthermore, I will also lead the school’s newspaper team and will work together with Miss Yau and Mr Seaman. I am excited about the prospect of educating your child and believe that a child’s learning environment should be positive, and one in which they are happy and feel cared for and accepted. Each child should be valued and must be respected, and together with the teachers and parents’ co-operation, I am confident that your child will be nurtured to his/her full potential.
Thank you for trusting me with your most precious possession. I look forward to teaching your child this year
This is my second year at North Point Methodist Primary School working as a Chatteris Native English Teacher, and I’m so excited to be back and see what this new year has to offer! This year I will be teaching P2, P4 and P6. I am very happy to be meeting some new students and working with some familiar students from last year!
I am from England, UK and this is my second year in Hong Kong! I have a degree in Psychology and have had experience teaching in the UK, Hong Kong and in Canada with Kindergarten, Primary and Secondary schools. I really enjoy working with children and intend to make learning English fun and interesting for all abilities and personalities!
I will also be involved with the Drama club. I co-ran this club last year and was so impressed with their performance of Peter Pan, I can’t wait to see what this next year holds for the drama students!
Additionally, I will be helping with the English Ambassador Team, and look forward to meeting the students and enhancing their English through fun and interactive activities whilst helping them to teach others how fun English can be!
I am looking forward to creating a safe and fun environment for your children to enhance their English reading, writing and speaking skills to allow my students to reach their full potential.
My name is Andre Todman and I’ am one of the English teachers working for Chatteris Educational foundation. I am from Australia and this is my first time in Hong Kong. So I still have lots of hikes to complete and landmarks to experience.
I have a bachelor of Communication in writing and Journalism and a teaching English as a foreign language certificate. I also have experience teaching at an English Academy and traveling around Australia for my father’s business, teaching math’s activities and games to students in Australia.
Alongside the NET’s and local teachers, I am teaching P1, P3 and P5 classes. I also teach extra curriculum activities like the Eleep program, the Capriccio reading program, the EAT Team, and the School news team.
